What’s shakin’ at Rodzart 08-06-2010.

Hi Folks. Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a good week, and a good weekend coming up. We completed two paintings for you this week, and we have several more in the works.

The first new painting for this week is 18 X 24 inch oil on canvas, which I entitled
”Naissance”. You may have to look at this one for a minute or two and maybe consult a French dictionary, but I think eventually you’ll get the idea. If not, that’s cool too.

The other painting for this week is a 8 X 12 acrylic abstract expression on watercolor paper called
Expression 1069
Expression 1069. Look for the planes and the rhythms in this particular line painting. I’ve been thinking lately about a good way to explain my line paintings, and I think the best way to describe them is “dancing music”. I don’t just have a song in my heart, but also in my paint.

Ok, it’s been a week since I turned sixty. Yet I don’t feel the slightest bit different than I did the week before I turned sixty. So, I wonder what the big deal was. I still eat pizza; I still listen to J-Pop; I still paint what I feel and not what’s commercial; I still eat sushi; and I still think that every member of Oreskaband is smokin’ hot. So take that calendar, nyah! I refuse to get old.

For my friends and followers of Twitter and Facebook, I just wanted to mention the “Painting of the day” that I send out most evenings. The “POTD” is one of my paintings that is either new, hasn’t been seen for a while, or is fitting for the day. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everyone looking at these paintings. It really makes me happy to see so many people looking at my work.
If you happen to know any billionaires, how about sending them over too….lol.

I wanted to mention again that I’m still getting email in Kana and Chinese. I put a few of them through an on-line translator, and they didn’t make very much sense, so I’m assuming they were spam. On the outside chance though, that someone is trying to communicate, please put “Translate from Japanese” or “Translate from Chinese” in the subject line and I’ll try to read them.

Before I finish the rant and whine section of the blog this week, I just want to mention that next week’s blog will probably be a little late.
I’m going to Cleveland to see my new Grandson next weekend, so I probably won’t get the blog out on until Sunday or Monday. I know you spend all week just waiting to see what I have to say, so I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you happen to be in the Brandon area, please remember that I’ve got six paintings hanging in “The Art of Hair” salon at 10963 Causeway Blvd., in Brandon. So, I hope you’ll drop by and check them out, and maybe get some great hair styling while you’re them.

If you’ve got a few bucks to spare, how about spending them on Haiti. There are a lot of good programs going on, my two favorites are, as always, Doctors without borders, they’ve got a link below. Also, The Clinton-Bush Haiti fund.

Here are a couple more sites I hope you’ll visit and support:
Doctors without Borders.
Katsel Tsi Chen Cho Kyi Ling Buddhist Meditation center.

I’m also on Twitter
Myspace and
Look me up there if ya feel like it.

I hope everyone has a peaceful and prosperous week. See ya next time.
