What’s shakin’ at Rodzart 04-23-2010

Hi Folks. I hope everyone has had a good week.

I apologize for taking so long for another blog entry. As most folks know by now, I sometimes have difficulty talking about myself. I’ll try to do better.

I’ve started a new series of paintings based on the alphabet. This is a continuation of a thought I first had in school, back at the University of Alaska, Southeast, in Juneau. These paintings will all be acrylic on watercolor paper. Prints will be available as I go along, but the originals will only be available as a set, so if you’re interested, hang in there, I’ve still got 24 to go; unless I get inspired by punctuation.

The first one is called “Alpha”

The next one finished so far is, can ya guess? “Bravo”

The names incidentally, come from the International Phonetic Alphabet.
The next up, “Charlie” will be coming along soon.

I’ve also added a bunch of ACEO’s (art cards editions and originals) to Etsy
All of my ACEO’s are original paintings, and extremely inexpensive, so I hope you’ll have a look at them.

One more piece of hot news: I’ve got six paintings hanging in “The Art of Hair” salon at 10963 Causeway Blvd., in Brandon. So, the next time anyone needs hair styling, or art, I hope you’ll drop by and check them out.

It’s nice to see the weather finally warming up here in Valrico. It was a really cold winter for us, and a few times I actually couldn’t paint because my acrylics were frozen.
That hasn’t happened to me since Juneau. Let’s see how long it takes me to complain about being too hot…lol.

I’m going to try to move my blogging day to Friday in the hope that I can keep up with it a little better.
